Room VII — Research
Where a book yields knowledge
Three books open.
One quiet scholar.
The Reading Room is the room that follows the Archive. Once a book is preserved, the next question is what it means alongside the other books on the shelf. The scholar at the table is not always a person.
Marginalia
A quiet scholar in the margin.
Ask a question of any passage in the Post Script catalogue. The answer arrives as a hand-drawn note beside it — not as a chat bubble, not as a modal, not as a widget.
Marginalia is on the roadmap for Phase 09. When it opens, this room becomes interactive: any reader will be able to summon a margin note against any book. Until then, the reading table is a promise about what the Research room is for.

Semantic search
Find a book by the sentence you half-remember. When a reader recalls only the shape of an idea, semantic search finds the volume it lives in.

Preservation
Cold-storage scans of every print run, indexed and replayable. Insurance against the algorithm and against the paper itself.
